Dee Lee is riding the bench tonight. So is Jedmonds. Hoffpauir and Johnson to start.
5. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 11:35 AM
cubs better pick it up, because if they collapse i am left with nd and the bears, and well, neither appears to be a good option at the moment.
7. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 01:51 PM
Alfonso Fucking Soriano and his luxury ass. If it weren’t for him, this team would be HOSED!!!
8. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 01:51 PM
Derrek Lee tried to hit into another double play in the third. Too bad there were already two outs.
24. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:21 PM
These umps that have no clue what the strikezone is, need to be suspended or replaced.
25. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:21 PM
that was the worst umpiring ive seen all year and im not kidding that guy wasnt even trying to hide the fact he wasnt making the right call on purpose
26. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:23 PM
it’s like saying no no no to somebody while nodding yes yes yes. what a dumbfuck. Marquis, the batter and everybody else was just wondering what the hell that last call was.
27. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:24 PM
that was the worst umpiring ive seen all year and im not kidding that guy wasnt even trying to hide the fact he wasnt making the right call on purpose
yeah, that was a revenge call on Marquis and he confused everyone in the process.
28. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:24 PM
The sad part is the umps have introduced their own version of the strike zone instead of what’s called for in the rule book and it’s been coming down to this for the last 20+ years.
30. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:26 PM
Didn’t they go over the scouting report with Cueto? Didn’t he talk to Arroyo? WTF?
32. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:32 PM
reds announcer just said
“theriot is a smart baserunner”
cringe
33. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:40 PM
Did Marquis have his bad inning already or will he shit the bed for real?
34. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:54 PM
who is this douche announcer who keeps complaining about cubs fans in the park?
listen asshole if your shitty team cant find enough fans in your hometown to fill your stadium dont bitch that somebody else’s team can travel
40. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 02:58 PM
who is this douche announcer who keeps complaining about cubs fans in the park?
no shit, it’s not Branley, Brennaman, or Grande. The 4th guy. He said Cubs fans are the only ones who boo the fake the 3rd throw to first play, when every stinking teams’s fans do it, at every level. what a douche!
42. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:14 PM
Padres have a guy at 1st and 3rd, 1 out. Sheets going for the complete game.
45. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:20 PM
Sheets completes a 1-0 win
wasn’t that only run a cheapie too?
47. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:24 PM
I’m glad Soriano is on this team. I wish Lou would have shut Lee or Ramirez or Soto down for a week (or more days off). Whatever.
49. Harry Pavlidis — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:27 PM
Hughes says something appeared to be up with A-Ram’s leg when he was running on Soto’s double
50. Harry Pavlidis — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:30 PM
Mordecai comes in to catch, so maybe ARam’s OK and Lou’s just emptying the bench
51. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:33 PM
Chris Welsh is the reds douchebag analyst ripping the cubs tonight. He just said “you get the feeling I hate losing to the cubs?”
It’s been pretty awful, but every Cincinnati broadcaster hates the cubs intensely. George Grande is an idiot too. The factual errors are hilarious. “Soriano is good for 1 or 2 DL stints since he came up with the yankees.” Soriano gets his 20-30 HRs a year.”
52. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:35 PM
Mordecai comes in to catch
I wonder how the old Mordecai would’ve turned out with the miracle of modern science. Ruined him?
53. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:36 PM

great, hope it’s what you said about emptying the bench though.

Welsh had 2-1 record against the Cubs.
58. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:54 PM
Well this is probably one of the worst outings I’ve ever seen from f7, but in Spellcheck/F7’s defense DLee booting that ball was pretty brutal.
But Cotts just sucks, I’d rather see Home Run Howry instead.
59. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:55 PM
I’ve come down with a horrific case of food poisoning
sorry to hear that. I just have a cold so I shouldn’t complain.
I’m also miffed at Lee’s stupid error a couple minutes ago. WTF?? that was terrrible.
60. ccd — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:57 PM
HUGE FUKING OUTING BY MARQUIS. He really stepped up tonight. And Alfonso Soriano is soul-crushingly awesome at sports.
Marquis has really done a nice job of late. I was listening to Pat and Ron earlier and they were talking about his last eight starts on the road. Marquis has really pitched well away from WF this season. That just continued tonite.
61. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 03:59 PM
So much for not making the playoff roster eh?
Howry and Cotts can easily be booted off to make room for Marquis.

I heard that too. Incredible.

So who does Lou trust to not surrender 6 runs in the 9th? I’ll bet he goes to Marmol.
64. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 04:03 PM
Chris Welsh erases Cubs fans with his white marker. Whoa, there goes Maddog.

This kind of angst is usually reserved for Sox fans and Cubs fans or Brewers fans and Cubs fans. This is a rediculous how much these broadcasters hate the cubs.
Is he really erasing cubs fans. That’s awesome!! If he is that is totally dumb, but hilarious.
67. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 04:11 PM

He really is. He can’t stand so many cubs fans in the house and keeps mentioning the stereotypical stupidity, which I understand but it’s funny how it eats at him.
Cubs pouring it on again.
68. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 04:11 PM
DP Lee, not grounding out? WTF?! I suppose when there’s not 1 or no outs he gets confused and actually does something productive.
69. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 04:12 PM

he grounded out twice tonight but they were just inside the 3rd base line for doubles.
74. Harry Pavlidis — Sep 06, 2008 @ 04:23 PM
thru 8 in COlorado, Oswalt has 1 hit the Rockies. On 76 pitches. He’s hit two guys and walked one, after retiring the first 12.
75. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 04:25 PM
Well that was interesting, id rather have gotten outs, but with a nine run lead you can have that happen I suppose.
78. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 04:30 PM
This is carlos marmol, great strike out pitcher, when he’s on average-above average control, and Home Run issues.
82. HORNY GOAT — Sep 06, 2008 @ 05:34 PM
Soriano’s OPS jumped from .874 to .906 after tonight, (dying laughing).
84. — Sep 06, 2008 @ 06:38 PM
Fons makes me flat out giddy. I’m not gay or anything, but if I was…...
Next entry: Cubs win, Soriano is good at sports, packed with Cubs fans
Previous entry: Whither the Offense?
