The losing streak has reached 6 games now. The 2 easiest opponents the Cubs play this month is the Astros and Reds. A total of 9 games and so far they’re 0-4. This game sucked for a number of reasons. It was raining throughout the game, not the whole game, but it seemed like it. It was never a downpour, just a drizzle, which is more than enough to soak your clothes after an hour of it. The Cubs came out and struck out 3 times to open the game. Ted Lilly sucked. Jon Lieber sucked (why is he on the roster?). Angel Guzman did look pretty good in his 2 innings. Koyie Hill? 2 hits and an RBI. I didn’t stick around for the bottom half of the 8th or the top of the 9th because there no was no point in prolonging this night of suck.
Fukudome went 0-4 yet again and looked pretty fucking bad doing it. How much longer until we see someone else in RF? Anyone else.
Jason Marquis needs to step up tomorrow. This losing streak we’ve seen shitting pitching, shitty defense and the offense has been so shitty we could have played just as well with no offense at all. Lou has made some mistakes. It’s time these guys get their head out of their asses and start playing. They’re better than this, but if this team thought they could walk through September with their eyes closed, well, it’s not going to happen. In the 1st and 2nd innings tonight, it looked to me like they had just mailed it in. I’ve seen that look many times over the past week.

Thank fucking Christ. Brewers almost had it there.
