07/12/2008 Cubs Minor League Performances
A couple interesting low minors games yesterday. Peoria scored 2 runs in the 7th to win a 2-0 game, and Boise scored 2 in the top of the 8th to make it 7-6 before Eugene scored 3 in the bottom of the 8th the put it out of reach. The DSL Cubs2 scored 3 runs in the bottom of the ninth, including the winning run with 2 outs in the inning to defeat the DSL Blue Jays1 3-2. Manuel Pestana (18 y.o. 6’0” 150 lb. OF) hit the game-winning RBI single. 16 y.o. Ramon Garcia (a Venezuelan displaced since the Cubs closed their Venezuela campus) pitched 6 innings of no-hit ball for them (with 4 K) as well.

07/11/2008 Cubs Minor League Performances
Slight change to format. I’ll post all the scores from yesterday and then pluck one or more players from each game who’s notable either for performance or prospect status.

Minor League Report 06/20/08
Rich Hill had a terrible game. I-Cubs tried to rally to win it late anyway. They failed. I refuse to list people over the age of 30 on this report, so about 1/4 of the I-Cubs roster will never have anything in this report. Daytona had a good night.

Cubs Organizational Report 06/19/08
Sean Marshall got a good tune-up start with Iowa before his expected Chicago start next week. E-Patt hit a HR. Jeff Samardzija pitched well, with Jose Ceda getting the win @ AA. Jake Fox is hitting the ball well, although whether that’s good or not is still up in the air. Minor league reports for each team up to this point in the season are going to be posted tomorrow. The DSL Cubs1 pitched a combined 3-hitter, and faced 35 batters in the process. Seriously, it’s all in here folks.
